My apologies again for the mix up and my tardy response.

Katie
So glad you think the book looks interesting. I love the cover too. Harlequin’s art department has been very good to me with all my Intrigues.

Charlotte
This interview was my first trip to Sweet Tomatoes and there is no one I would have rather gone with than Elizabeth. She is the best “all you can eat” salad buffet partner…bar none. She introduced me to a whole new way of tackling this kind of restaurant. Indeed, one can do it all, but like writing…an “all you can eat” buffet is all about the pacing. : )

Helen
You completely hit the nail on the head….It is difficult to “write with total abandon.” I think it’s part of why I draft so much. On the first draft I give myself permission to write whatever I want because (I tell myself) “no one is going to see this draft.” So a character can be as “out there” in terms of their behavior as I want. This turns the internal editor off long enough for me to get the true character on the page whether I’m writing about their sexuality or how they treat their co-workers. Later I may need to tweak the scene or I may decide that character is staying just the way she is.

Deborah
This is the nicest interview anyone has ever done for me. Elizabeth made it seem so easy, too.
_________

Thank you all for your comments. I appreciate your encouragement and interest in my work. My very best to you and Happy Reading,

Kay Thomas
www.KayThomas.netKay Thomashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12047127118821051479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2967179224372520114.post-23147047064344779632011-04-12T06:03:47.295-05:002011-04-12T06:03:47.295-05:00Delightful post, Elizabeth.
